We Are Looking for Dedicated Individuals
Growing & Plant Care Support (Helpers + Supervisors)
Help keep plants healthy and the site running smoothly at Robin’s Nest Field.
Who it’s for: anyone who can help (no experience needed), plus experienced growers—we need regular volunteers to help supervise plant care week to week.
Typical tasks: sowing, potting on, watering checks, weeding/mulching, general growing-area tidy.
Supervisor tasks: set weekly care priorities, spot issues early, guide helpers.
Time: 1–3 hours, flexible — regular weekly help especially needed.
Workshop Helper
Support smooth, welcoming sessions so participants can focus on the activity.
Tasks: set-up/pack-down, greeting/sign-in, handing out materials, keeping stations stocked, tidying and basic safety checks.
Time: usually 2–3 hours per session (often weekend mornings). Briefing provided on the day.
Community outreach and partnerships
Help us connect with local groups and build collaborations.
Tasks: share key messages/flyers, follow up enquiries, help identify partners (schools, community hubs, charities), support open days/stalls, capture feedback and ideas.
Time: flexible; can be on-site or remote.
Admin Support (Behind the scenes)
Help keep the project organised so sessions and volunteers run reliably.
Tasks: volunteer list/rota updates, workshop bookings and attendance lists, simple email follow-ups, document tidying (templates/checklists), organising photos/files.
Time: 30–90 minutes at a time; remote-friendly.
NOC Rangers (Site Stewards)
Look after Robin’s Nest Field and help protect the calm, safe, wildlife-friendly environment.
Tasks: light site checks (signage/paths), litter picks, reset tool areas, flag hazards or damage, support “leave it better than we found it” standards after sessions, observe & report wildlife-sensitive areas (no interference).
Time: 30–60 minutes per visit (rota-based or ad hoc).
Workshop Co-ordinator
Coordinate planning and delivery so each workshop is safe, welcoming, and well-resourced.
Tasks: confirm dates and outlines, prepare materials list, allocate volunteers, deliver a short pre-session briefing, oversee flow on the day, capture feedback and actions after the session.
Time: typically 1–2 hours prep + 2–3 hours delivery per workshop.
